Bus trips 2024

The Kiwanis Club of Chatham-Kent is pleased to introduce the 25th season of day trips. We have 3 excursions planned for 2024 – a much loved favourite, an unfamiliar but fun-filled production and a reprise of the crowd favourite from last year. These trips include all costs so you don’t have to open your wallet, good fun with great people and an opportunity to support Kiwanis service projects.

Thursday, May 2 – Stratford Festival Theatre $215.00
Something Rotten! is an uproarious dose of pure Broadway fun and an irresistible ode to musicals — those dazzling creations that entertain us, inspire us, and remind us that everything’s better with an exclamation point!” In 1595, playwrights toiling away in the shadow of the great William Shakespeare consult a soothsayer who predicts that the next great thing in theatre will be something called “a musical”. [This production is not well known but a hilarious adventure.]
Trip Includes: 9:30 a.m. departure travelling directly to Revival House (a beautifully restored church and a new venue for us) for a buffet lunch, 2:00 p.m. matinee with A+ seats at the Festival Theatre, returning to Chatham around 7:30 p.m. with a comfort stop at an ONroute service centre on the way home.
Tuesday, June 25 – Huron Country Playhouse $155.00
Fiddler on the Roofhas a universal theme of hope, love, and acceptance, and is a testament to the triumph of the human spirit over adversity. This is a time-honoured family favourite featuring an unforgettable score of classic songs that for years has touched audiences around the world.
Trip Includes: 10:00 a.m. departure travelling directly to the Hessenland Inn for a lunch of schnitzel with salad and dessert, 2:00 p.m. matinee with great seats on the main stage of the Huron Country Playhouse, returning to Chatham around 6:00 p.m. [If you want the alternative of quiche for lunch, please let us know when you register.]
Wednesday, November 27 – Victoria Playhouse Petrolia $150.00
Starbright Christmas Special– symbolizes the start of the holiday season with its amazing musical arrangements, incredible singing, stunning gowns and spectacular stage setting to warm your heart with tidings of comfort and joy. [This is an annual tradition in Petrolia with each year totally different yet reassuringly similar in its pageantry. Last year’s Kiwanis group loved it!]
Trip Includes: 10:45 a.m. departure travelling directly to Actor’s Restaurant in Petrolia where we will order from a choice of 4 pre-set meals, orchestra level seats for the 2:00 p.m. matinee, returning to Chatham around 5:30 p.m.
