The Kiwanis Club of Chatham-Kent consists of a group of community volunteers whose primary focus is on children.

While perhaps best known in the community for operating the annual Chatham Kiwanis Music Festival for almost 80 years and for the Kiwanis Theatre, we also provide support for youth education and leadership development and a Kiwanis Aktion Club partnership with Community Living. As well we support a number of local charitable organizations and activities.

For the last several years our strategic statement, “Children are our focus. Literacy is our goal”, has guided our activities as we’ve developed partnerships with the Chatham-Kent Public Library and several of our local elementary schools.

We’re delighted to partner with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library as we extend our literacy support by encouraging a love of reading in pre-school children.

Thanks to the overwhelming interest in this program from our community, we have again reached the limit of number of children that we can handle at this moment. You may still register and your child will be put on a waiting list. You will get a notification when your child will be enrolled. Thank you for understanding.
