A travel in time with Dennis Myers

Kiwanis member Mary Alice Marchand is pictured with Dennis Myers, owner of Maddocks-Myers Jewellers, at the Thursday morning Kiwanis meeting. Dennis, also a Kiwanis member,  told an interesting story about time and clocks going back to 800 BC when time was first measured. Before that we didn’t need to worry about being late for an appointment. The display of clocks, also pictured here, included a brass clock from France in the King Louis style that was shown at the 1836 World’s Fair in Chicago. Fast forward to 2020 and Dennis talked about the atom clock that is accurate to a fraction of a second indefinitely. Dennis Myers is one of only two qualified watch/clock repair specialists.
