Kiwanis Matching Scholarships 2022

This is the fifteenth year that our Kiwanis Club has participated in the Kiwanis Foundation of Canada Matching Scholarship Program. For the past few years two $1000 scholarships have been presented to students who are Chatham-Kent residents pursuing post-secondary or graduate studies at a recognized institution the following year.

Criteria include demonstration of academic achievement, participation in school/student activities, community service and volunteering, good character, financial need and other community activities.

This year’s Scholarship Committee consisting of Mary Alice Marchand (Chair), Dennis Myers, Dave Richie and Derek Robertson worked diligently at assessing applications from 13 Chatham-Kent students. This was no easy task as so many applicants met the criteria to receive a scholarship.

They selected Molly Hamilton and Audrey Kagan as the 2022 recipients. Both are students at Chatham-Kent Secondary School. Each will receive a $1000 scholarship.
