Happy Labour Day weekend everyone! As a retired teacher, this always seemed like New Year’s to me but I must confess to a great relief that I am not preparing to return to schools on Tuesday.
There are a few items of interest for you:
1. From Debbie Colquhoun – “As I am working, I will not be at the meeting on September 8. But I wanted to use this opportunity to thank everyone involved with another successful Kiwanis Staples back to school barbecue. Thanks to generous people, we raised $335.30 to contribute to the Back to School campaign as well as raising awareness of the goodwill and good work of Kiwanis in the community. And a special thank you to Deb for taking the lead on this project.
