Chatham-Kent Fire and Emergency Services public educator Whitney Burk is pictured offering Kiwanis members Austin Hadlock and Kerry Halls a complimentary spatula to help remind them that when they are cooking they shouldn’t be distracted as one of the fire safety tips that she shared with Kiwanians at their February 27 meeting. She continued by saying that when they have something cooking on the stove and the doorbell rings they should take the spatula to the door with them as a reminder that their may be a fire hazard brewing. Lots of great information shared by Whitney in an energetic and entertaining presentation.
