First Dinner Meeting since our summer break. Hope to see many faces again :)

We will have a very interesting speaker, Roberta Buchanan. She and her husband were recently presented with the 2023 Friends of Nature award.

The Buchanans have worked to protect the woodlands, wetlands and meadows of their 99-acre farm.

Their conservation and restoration efforts include a tall grass prairie; wetland construction; tree planting (which connects two blocks of woodland); and Invasive species control. All of this illustrates their dedication to protecting the natural environment of the landscape they call home. Chatham Voice

Couple named Friends of Nature for conservation work

A local couple’s efforts to preserve the natural areas on their property have earned them an award from the Sydenham Field Naturalists.
