Today is becoming known as Giving Tuesday. Our Kiwanis Club of Chatham-Kent is proud that we have given over $8,100 over the last year to support our local community. With the funds we raise by volunteering at the Riverview Gaming Centre, we have been able to support the following programs: Kiwanis Music Festival, Dolly Parton Imagination Library, Goodfellows, Salvation Army Kettle Drive, the Water Festival, the Staples Back Pack program and we were able to plant dozens of trees in school yards across Chatham Kent.
Thank you for supporting our Kiwanis fundraising events so that we are able support local needs of our children and families.

Registration Music Festival Closed
The official deadline for registering for the Chatham Kiwanis Music Festival was December 1. There was a possibility to still register albeit with a penalty fee until December 8. That date has now passed. Our Committee is now working hard to screen all the entries for errors and mistakes and will be in touch with the teachers or parents to clarify any issues.
Thanks to all the registrants and we are looking forward to a great Festival!

Trip Down Memory Lane
Friday December 9th will be our 92 anniversary of the club. To celebrate that Mary Alice Marchand prepared a show-and-tell from the archives. She, together with Eileen Richards, Chuck Scott and Rob Ralston presented some interesting stories of the history of our club. Mary Alice selected a number of digital pictures taken from the more recent history and these were presented as a slideshow. During Rob’s presentation about the Kingston Park playground project a special series of pictures were shown.
Below are the two slideshows, in case you missed them or if you want to see them again.
